Ike is 1

It has been a long time since I posted here. I've been very bust taking care of Ike and joining scrapbook contests. Last August 18 Ike turned 1.
Wow! is it really been a year? Time passes by so quickly. Its seems to be just yesterday when I posted the news about my pregnancy. Ike has been a handful since his birthday. He is still learning to walk that is why we always keep an eye on him. He also has been exploring things around him. It's very tiring but I am enjoying every minute of it.


Just recently I joined the Bad Girls Kit Designer Challenge. Unfortunately I got eliminated in its 3rd round. Although my journey there has been short I still enjoyed every minute of it. It is still an honor to reach this stage. Over a hundred have joined this contest from around the world. The competion was really tough. The photo above is my enrty for the first round. My Embellished Idol Journey

Just recently I joined the Emebellished Idol 2008. It is sponsored by an Australian based kit club, Embellished Scrapbook Shoppe . It is an 8 weeks challenge were in contestants get to be eliminated every week. Sad to say after the 6th week I got eliminated. It's ok atleast I enjoyed the journey and learned a lot of things about my craft. Most important of all I got to scrap some backlog photos. So here it goes my Embellished Idol Journey...

Artful Blogging Challenge on www.bookoto.com

Bookoto is a local online book store here in the Philippines. This month they are sponsoring a blog challenge. The challenge is all about the overall design and meat of the blog. Since I started this blog I've been wanting to improve it but my knowledge on the technology hinders me to do so. I tried to study how to create a wonderful header but I was not successful. So I just downloaded a template header. I chose the title Heart and Soul: The Life of Scrapaholic. This blog is basically about scrapbooking and my daily journey to the world of scrapbooking. I usually post updates on my life and of course the scrapbook challenges that I join.

Here is a layout of Ike climbing the stairs for the first time. He did it last July 19 exactly a day after his 11th month birthday. He did it as if he was already practicing it for a long time. You will notice that when he reached the top he clapped his hands with joy. I am so proud of him.
