My dear mother-in-law and dear husband visited Tadlak this morning to deliver some relief goods. This barangay is still under water because of Typhoon Ketsana. They had to relocate on top of the railroad were it is dry. Good thing is that the railroad is still idle since they stopped the train operation to Bicol. Gilfred took some photos that are very touching.

Family Bonding

We have been planning to bring Ike to Umali Freedom Park since he learned how to walk last December. The said park is a place were families can enjoy and bond every weekend. Finally, our plans pushed through last February 20 and 21. That was the first weekend where Gee's schedule allowed us to have this family bonding. And of course as a scrapbooker I did not forget our camera to document the moment. Here are some the pictures we took last weekend.

Our Little Plumber

Ike is growing so fast. It seems like yesterday that he was in my arms so small and helpless. Now look at him he is so independent just like a little kid. I love watching him play. Sometimes I tend to be over protective but my DH keeps on reminding me to let him be. We like Ike to grow up to be independent just like us. We want him to experience childhood the way we experienced it. Playing outdoors, exploring things, climbing trees and playing with mud! Yes, the whole old school package. We want him to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible and not get hooked on computers.

Last Saturday, February 21, 2009, we caught Ike playing with the main faucet of the water line. He looks like a little plumber trying to fix the water line.

And He Walked!

Finally, Ike can walk on his own 3 months after his birthday he can finally walk. He is not that confident yet because he still continues to hold our hand in going places. Actually he was already able to walk about 2 months ago but he got sick and this delayed his walking development. It took another 3 weeks before he started to try walking again. We are not rushing him because I would like to cherish this moment were he is still dependent on you. I love how it feels every time he takes my hands to guide him. Yes, it can be tiring but who cares he is my son and I love him so much. I don't want him to grow fast hehehehe. Here are some proofs that he can walk:

My New Scrap Area

Hey! I am so excited to tell you that I have a new scrap area courtesy of my dear sister-in-law Rita. They already moved to their newly built home with her very own scrap room and she has to dispose some of her stuff in her old scrap area. So I volunteered to take some of them. hehehe. I had to setup a new scrap area because my husband and the computer has already taken-over my old scrap space over a year ago(see the slide show my ctreative mess below). Here is a picture of my new scrap space:

Ike is 1

It has been a long time since I posted here. I've been very bust taking care of Ike and joining scrapbook contests. Last August 18 Ike turned 1.
Wow! is it really been a year? Time passes by so quickly. Its seems to be just yesterday when I posted the news about my pregnancy. Ike has been a handful since his birthday. He is still learning to walk that is why we always keep an eye on him. He also has been exploring things around him. It's very tiring but I am enjoying every minute of it.


Just recently I joined the Bad Girls Kit Designer Challenge. Unfortunately I got eliminated in its 3rd round. Although my journey there has been short I still enjoyed every minute of it. It is still an honor to reach this stage. Over a hundred have joined this contest from around the world. The competion was really tough. The photo above is my enrty for the first round. Wow! So many things has happened since I last posted. I was not able to post lately because I got really busy and We also just came back from our family trip to Bohol. Bohol Was really great! My Little Attic Pop Culture Challenge.

Christmas gifts!

Christmas is now over. My little baby was able to recieve lots of gifts from relative and his godparents. Of course I did not resist taking pictures. Please allow me to share with you photos of baby Ike posing in front of his gifts and him opening his gifts.(Actually him grabbing the wrapper to put on his mouth. hehehe)


This year I was not able to go Christmas shopping for gifts, so I decided to create acrylic layouts for my family. Here they are...

First Christmas Family Photo

Every year UP Los Baños puts up a life size belen near the UP Los Baños entrance. This year they made a life size belen made from acacia that was wood carved from uprooted tree from the milenyo typhoon. The belen was so wonderful that we decided to have our very first Christmas Family photo in front of it.

Auntie Lina's Christmas Village.

Every year would we would visit Aunti Lina's home to look at her Christmas village. And she never fails to amaze us with her new addition to her collection.
When she started she only had a few pieces displayed near the wall. Now her Christmas village almost occupies the whole living room! This is the first time Ike will see this amazing display.
