I have not updated my blog for a long time. I have been so busy taking care of my family. All of us got sick. My husband got confined in the hospital, my son got fever for a week and then me. In between taking care of "US" I tried to scrap (it's the only thing that would keep me sane. LOL... So here are some layouts:

Another weekend of Challenges

Last weekend I joined the weekend of challenges over at Scrappin kids. I made several layouts. And guess what I won again! I really enjoyed creating layouts for the challenges. Here is the layout that won:



The background paper was hand painted by me. I used sponge and acrylic paint to create the clouds. then I used an old place mat ang crackle paint to add the finishing touches.

Baby Talk!

Since January Ike has learned to communicate with us in 2 ways. Doing sign language and baby words. Since he now has longer attention span in watching videos I allow him to watch some videos designed for babies and toddlers. His first video was My Baby can do Sign Language. He was able to pick up some sign language like, sleep, thank you, mommy, daddy, flower, diapers, hat, socks, all done, cereals, up and a lot more. He also can say some words like, nana (meaning no more and banana), Dada (Daddy), Dede (Milk), La (Lola), ya ( Kuya). It is fun to watch him trying to communicate with us. Although sometimes he gets frustrated when we do not understand him.

Another Prize Won from Scrappin Kids

Last February 28 I joined another fun online crop over at Scrappin' Kids. I was only able to join 1 challenge which was sponsored by Ate Issa. Guess what! I won!!! LOL...I enjoyed making this layout so much. I love the colors so much. I is so funky! By the way I used sassafras and Scenic Route papers which I bought last year. And you know...as a prize I got these patterned papers by October Afternoon Night Light collection. Don't you just love those little monsters! I've been craving for these papers since last year...finally I got them!!! Thank you so much Ate Issa!!!

Be a Guest Designer for Creatively Yours

CY is running a contest to locate FOUR talented scrapbookers to become CY Guest Design Team Members for a 1-month period. We are seeking 2 designers for February and 2 for March, 2009.
Everyone, including international scrappers and previous CY designers is invited to apply.
Below are the contest rules.

To enter, you must flip, turn, or “mirror image” (reverse) the contest sketch that we have posted above for the CY Guest Designer Contest. You can even turn it upside-down!

Then, create your layout based on the way that you turned/flipped/mirror-imaged the sketch. The interpretation of the sketch MUST remain a 12×12″ layout size, however.

Use any colours, photos, papers, cardstock, and embellies you like. Creative FREEDOM!

DUE DATE FOR ENTRIES: Midnight, AST Thursday January 29th 2009. One entry per person please.

My Second Layout For 2009

Finally I am able to scrap again. I haven't done that for while now. Since my nanny left for vacation I had to take care of my son. With him always on the lookout on what I am doing it had been very difficult to touch my paper and scissors. He keeps on trying to take it away from me! Anyway finally I am able to scrap another layout. My first layout will be posted at the Creatively yours blog soon. So be on the lookout for it. My second layout was done for Scrappin Kids. It is a layout done for RD Issa and Cookie's challenge.

I tried to layer some papers of MM Passport line.I topped the layers of paper with KI chipboards and my title. For the title I used a chipboard by BG and Heidi Swapp. To dress up the alpha chipboards I used brilliance ink pad and Glossy accents.

Happy New Year!

Better late than never! Happy New Year everyone! December had been a very hectic month for me.Not only because it was Christmas season but because my son's nanny to go on a vacation. I had to take care of my one year old on my own and that is in between going to work and doing household chores. I didn't even have time to check my emails or update my blog.

My son keeps on trying to get hold of the keyboard whenever I am in front of the laptop.He would not leave my side. So it was so hard for me to do the chores. But hey I enjoyed every minute of it! I was able to bond with my son. And watch his development. He can now do some gestures to help him communicate. He enjoys watching " My baby can talk" cd. He was able to pick some sign gestures like hat and sleep.

Ad This First Challenge

Here is a layout I did for the very first Ad This challenge.

Half Page layouts

Just recently I tried out creating 6 X 12 layouts. And boy I am enjoying this so much. I think I will shift to this format. Don't get me wrong, I will still do 12 x 12 layouts from time to time. 6x12 layouts are a lot faster to make and a lot cheaper. You get to cut your page expenses by half. Maybe that is why some people call it half pages. hehehehe. Here are some of the half page layouts that I created this month.

The Heat is on!

Here are two more projects that I was able to create in the past 2 days. One is a card:
I plan to give this to our friends who just got married last weekend.
Summer is really here. I cannot take the heat anymore! In times like this I just reminisce our Bohol trip. I wish I can fly back to that wonderful resort. Anyway, I should just relax, enjoy and have FUN in creating new layouts. In this layout, I used a photo of me relaxing and enjoying the Bohol sun. The layout was created inspired by architect Mara os Itty Bitty Scrap Shack.

In a Creative mood!

Wow! I am in a creative mood. since the beginning of March I have been in the mood to make layouts and mini albums. Imagine since I started my vacation last April 1 I was able to make 3 layouts already. Not to mention the one that is still in process.I look forward to creating more layouts this month! This layout was created for the Itty Bitty challenge Shackin' up with the Design Team. This week they highlight DT Sara's gallery. The challenge is to scraplift one of her layouts. So I chose this layout:
I love the House in the background. I used Basic grey Mellow diecuts and papers.


Here is a 12x6 layout that I made that is also inspired by Sara.I love creating half pages it is so easy to make. If only there are 12x6 albums to store these sizes I would be shifting to half pages.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Grabe!!! It has been a busy and tiring week.The school year is almost over. For us teachers it is the beginning of what we call hell week. So many reports to accomplish and deadlines to beat plus a sick baby to take care of. Haaay...It is only now that I am able to check my e-mail. It has reached almost 200 mails already! So I started to check my mail.I was shocked to see that I missed a couple of deadlines.I even missed the Round Robin reveal! Waaaah...I was really looking forward to it pa man din. Anyway, since I was not able to join the reveal I decided to post my layout here along with some of my other layouts.

Wow! So many things has happened since I last posted. I was not able to post lately because I got really busy and We also just came back from our family trip to Bohol. Bohol Was really great! My Little Attic Pop Culture Challenge.
Just last Week Mla sponsored 2 challenges. The Pop Culture Layout Challege and the Altered project. Ate Issa one of my Scrapbooking friends won the altered project and Ate Timi won for the layout Chiqui Won the card challenge. Rita and Ate Liezl also won for the Scrapbooks Hawaii Challenge.
