Typhoon Kestana aka "Ondoy"

Another unforgetable typhoon has devasted the Philippines. Heavy rainfall has flooded several barangays here in Luzon. Thank God the river in our backyard did not overflow. It was almost like typhoon Milenio. According to an online news it was rated to be twice as bad as Hurricane Katrina and the storm signal was only signal number 1. Here is a video of some photos taken during the said typhoon. Let us all pray for the victims of this tragedy.

Mini Album at Scrappinmoms

I made this album for the Scrappinmoms' Idol. The album was inspired by Mother Goose. The mini album is composed of 4 parts. Each part features a nursery rhyme and an ATC.

Part 1. "Hush-a-Bye"

Rhyme: Hush-a-bye baby, lie still with thy daddy, Thy mommy has gone to the mill, to get some meal to bake a cake, so pray my dear baby, lie still.

Journaling: Even as an infant you always find comfort in Dada's chest. In fact he is the one who can put you to sleep.

Part 2: "Sulky Sue"

Rhyme: Here's sulky Sue, what shall we do? Turn her face to the wall till she comes to.

Journaling: What Ike wants Ike gets...'coz if you don't get it you definitely make sure that you get it!

Part 3: "The Mouse and the Clock"

Rhyme: Hickory, dickory, dock! The mouse ran up the clock; The clock struck one, and the he run, Hickory dickory dock!

Journaling: The first time you heard the alarm clock ring you suddenly shifted into your curious look and began to study the alarm's mechanism.

Part 4: "Diddle, Diddle, Dumpling"

Rhyme:Diddle, diddle dumpling, my son John went to bed with his breeches on one stocking off, and one stocking on; Diddle diddle dumpling, my son John.

Journaling: No matter what we do you always end up with only one shoe on. p to now we still wonder how and why?

This is the first time I made ATC and I enjoyed it so much. I think I make more of it!

The Great Palawan Adventure

Last May 28-30 my co-teachers and I went to Palawan. We stayed at the famous Dos Palmas Resort.
We left Manila via Cebu Pacific at 8 am and arrived at Puerto Princessa at 9:30 am. The Dos Palmas crew fetched us at the airport.

Than took a 30 minutes bus ride towards the port. We took a 1 hour ferry ride to finally get to the resort. Upon reaching the Dos Palmas Port we were greeted with a confetti of flowers, music, wooden necklaces and complimentary drinks. Wow were we amazed and impressed by their reception.

Upon arrival we ate our lunch buffet style. Their food were so delicious and the choices were awesome! It was practically a four course meal. After eating we settled in our cabanas and rested. After that we had our team building activities. We had several games and luckily our team won.

The next day we left early for the underground river. We travelled a total of four hours land travel and two and a half boat ride.

The land travel was abit stressful because of the winding road and some parts were a bit rough. But who cares all those travel were all worth it! The under ground river was really amazing. It really deserves to be voted as one of the 8 natural wonders of the world. Being in it makes you realize how amazing and powerful nature can be. God really works in wondrous ways!

The next morning we were supposed to have a picnic lunch at a nearby island but the weather did not permit us. So we just spend the morning kayaking, which I really enjoyed, and snorkelling. Then it started to rain so we had to go back to our cabanas and prepare for our departure. Before going to the airport we passed by the local market ad bought some souvenirs. Seafoods there are so cheap. Imagine fresh tuna is worth only 90 per kilo and and galunggong is only worth 10 pesos per kilo! Well I bought some fresh seafood, cashew and pearls.

I enjoyed the Palawan adventure so much. I wish I could go back there someday and visit Coron and El Nido.
